This Adobe Premiere QuickTime video output plug-in is unreleased beta
software to be used only for test purposes. It is provided "as is" and
without warranty. This software is not to be redistributed.

To test the QuickTime video output component requires using Premiere 5.1 and QuickTime 3.02

1. Be sure that version 5.1 or 5.1a of Premiere is installed. The updates to
Premiere 5.0 is available from Adobe
   http://www.adobe.com/supportservice/custsupport/LIBRARY/prwin.htm

2. Copy Prem50.ini to your program directory (likely located at C:\Program
   Files\ADOBE\Premiere 5.0).

This Prem50.ini contains the following two lines:

   [proxy]
   use_video_out='SGVO'

If you would prefer you can just add these two lines to your current Prem50.ini file.

3. Now we need to move the old plug-in out of the plug-ins directory to a safe place in case
you'd like to revert back to Premieres original functionality.

Create a new directory in side of your Premiere Program folder called obsolete and move the
pm-moov.prm file from your current plug-in directory (most likely C:\Program Files\ADOBE\Premiere 5.0\PLUG-INS\pm-moov.prm) to the obsolete directory.

4. Copy your new pm-moov.prm in this directory to your current plug-in directory
   (again most likely C:\Program Files\ADOBE\Premiere5.0\PLUG-INS).

5. Now make sure your video monitor is connected and then launch type sgiqtvout in the
Run window under Start (this will launch the QuickTime Video Output settings dialog enabling
the selection of the output jack).

6. Launch Premiere and select QuickTime as your editing mode from the general setting panel.
Either playing a movie in the timeline and the clip window or selecting Print to Video under
Export will send the data to the QuickTime video output.

Special Note.
When using this plug-in please be aware that the data won't be displayed on the screen windows
unless you hold down ALT while scrubbing in the timeline (the same as if you wanted to preview
a effect from the timeline.
