THE POKER RULES
---------------
From a standard deck of 52 cards your lovely companion will deal ten
cards, five for you and five for herself. To win, you should have higher
card combinations than she has.

The order of combinations is as follows:

Straight flush - five cards in order and in the same suit
Carr - four like cards
Fullhouse - one pair + three of a kind
Flush - five cards in a row of any suits
Three of a kind - three like cards
Two pair - two pair
(One) pair - two cards of the same kind

In this thrilling version of poker an ace holds the highest value and a
two the lowest. If your hand equals the hand of the dealer (for instance:
both sides have one pair of aces), the order of colours becomes important
-from high to low-: hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs.

THE GAME
--------
Red Lights of Amsterdam is controlled either by keyboard or joystick.

Press the fire button or the space bar to start the game. Soon your
lucious opponent shuffles the deck, deals the cards and shows you your
cards.

The game will follow the following pattern. It might seem a bit complex,
but studying it carefully you'll find it's a piece of cake. Just remember
there important catchwords:

BET(B): if you think you've got a great hand, take a chance to win it all!
STAY(S): you don't know what these cards will bring you: be reserved
DROP(D): your hand is completely hopeless and you quit the game
CALL(C): you want to see your opponents cards
RAISE(R): when you thinks you can beat the dealers cards after a BET
situation, you may raise the ante

                                                  To 2

You can only draw new cards once. After a "call" or drawing new cards and
all bidding has finished, the winner of the hand will be revealed.

When drawing cards a cursor will appear pointing at your middle card. Move
this arrow around by moving your joystick left or right. The card the
cursor points at can be marked as "not wanted" if you press the fire button.
Marking "not wanted" cards can be undone by placing the cursor on the
respective card and pressing the fire button again.

If the cursor is placed on an imaginary sixth card the word "READY" will be
displayed on your screen. By holding down the fire button at this point,
marked cards will be exchanged for new. The holder of the best hand when all
the cards are revealed is the winner and he takes the ante. When the computer
looses all her credit, she will trade one item of her clothing for more
money. When she has nothing left to trade you have won the game. However, if
you lose, you too should strip.

Have a thrilling time...
