HOW TO PLAY BARNSTORMER
-----------------------
When the game has finished loading (this will take ebout 5 1/2 minutes)
your TV or monitor will display the Electric Soltware logo followed by the
BARNSTORMER title screen. Pressing a key at this stage will cause the game
to start otherwise a demonstration game will start. CTL-STOP may be pressed
at any time to reset the game. High scores are not affected.

Barney is always on the move. You can control his direction of movement by
rotating the aircralt in anticlockwise or clockwise directions using left or
right cursor/joystick respectively. The action button/space bar releases a
flour bomb. The plane has a lot of inertia so care must be taken not to
allow it to build up excessive speed whenever there is the possibility of
obstacles in its path.

The aim of the game is to ground the balloons by lobbing flour bombs into
their baskets so that Barney can make an unimpeded run-up to the water tower.

The game is split into day and night sequences with night-time having the
added hazard of fireworks released by the balloons. The plane will crash if
it collides with the scenery, balloons, lightning bolts or fireworks.

The game starts with four lives. The number of lives remaining is indicated
by the small planes in the top right hand corner. Every 10.000 points a new
life is awarded. At 100.000 points the number of lives is reset to four.

HALL OF FAME
------------
At the end of the game the display changes to the 'Hall of Fame'. Up to
eight names can be entered. Use the BS key to correct mistakes and press
ENTER when the name is complete.
